You can absolutely make a living as a spray tan artist. On average many spray tan artists will make anywhere between $30-$80 per spray tan. When you become proficient in spray tanning, you can tan one client every 10-15 minutes, which results in an hourly rate $120-$320 per hour. Annually you can make between $249,000-$665,000 a year working full time at this rate as a spray tan artist.
DO I NEED A SPECIAL LICENSE, EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE TO BECOME A SPRAY TAN ARTIST?
In most states you do not need a special license, education or experience to become a spray tan artist. Make sure to research your state's requirements to verify your state's requirements.
